What Are

Helical Piers?

Helical piers are heavy duty steel supports that are driven 20-30 ft. deep and attached to your existing footing in order to stabilize a cracked or sinking foundation.  We are also able to lift foundations that have settled back into place permanently.  Helical piers have a lifetime warranty.

Signs You May Need Helical Piers

If you have brick cracking on the lower half of your foundation walls that is 1/4 inch or greater, you likely need helical pier support to prevent further damage.

This should not be confused with minor brick cracks or window lintel cracks.  Many companies take advantage of customers who have cracks that have nothing to do with foundation damage.  We will always be honest about what you need and what you don't.  We employ no commissioned salesmen and every job is evaluated by the owner of the company.

How Are The

Piers Driven?

Helical piers are typically driven using a mini excavator, and are driven to a targeted engineered torque value.  For tighter spaces and properties with limited access areas, we have hand driver configurations so that your yard and fence does not need to be torn up to install the piers.

Helicals For Home Foundation Support

The most common use for helical piers to to support or lift a cracked foundation wall.  The brick wall pictured here is the classic wall crack that signifies a section of the footing has broken due to the support from the soil under it.

In Hampton Roads this could be from the wet and dry season cycles and expansive clay, or it could be a drainage issues that has softened the ground under the footing.

We can support crawl space foundations, slab foundation, and garage foundations.  If it's a heavy structure and it needs to be supported, we can do it.
